Island Park with the Wittwers!!

Well, I know all of you are going to miss seeing my sweet husband pick his nose when you browse to my blog........but I had to update, I gave you all as long as I could!!
Here's Jake trying to look all smooth.....I'm not sure he really gets what goes into "being smooth!"
Jaylen got to go fishing with the boys a couple of times and boy did that make him happy, he always wants to be with the boys and his dad, instead of us boring girls!!! Oh, and can you tell Jake and Lance have the same kind of personality, one that hardly ever involves being serious? It sure keeps life interesting and funny!!
Jake and Lance thought they were pretty cool, looking all manly and stuff in the back of the truck to go fishing, so naturally I had to document it!!
Even little Lily looked excited to go fishing!! But sadly for her, she came with the girls to shop instead!
So here is one of our little shopping trips we went on, I say "one" because Roz loves going into West Yellowstone and I am pretty sure she went everyday for that addicting ice cream she loves!! Iguess I can't say all the girls came on this little adventure, Gentry stayed behind to fish with the boys and Kaylee was still in Logan, we missed you guys!
These were so cute I thought I should share them with everybody, what cute little girlies right out of the bath!! Unfortunately, I couldn't get Lily to look at me or smile very well, I think she was a little tired from the days activites!!

Way up at Sawtelle!!!

We took the steep and dusty trail up to Sawtelle mountain to see the whole valley of Island Park and Mack's Inn and probably some of Yellowstone too. Our car was a different color when we came back....but it was an awesome view!!!

Our slow ride up with Kaylee, Jaylen and Kenny (he was hiding behind me)!

The Gilberts: Chelsea, Lance and Lily doing some sweet posing for the camera!

You all know who this is.......but check out the background, freaking amazing right?!

The Frisons: Rashad, Amber, Arrianna and Jaylen!

Jake and his sis Gentry

This is our lame attempt at getting everybody in a picture, well at least mine. There were 14 of us so you can imagine we were all scattered about! Jeff got a sweet pic of every single one of us with his timed camera, I'm a little jealous....I won't lie!!

We had an awesome 5 days at the cabin with the good old Wittwers and were sad to come home to work and school for Jake. I didn't get documentation of our two canoing trips, or the amazing time we had swimming at Firehole, but I promise we did do those things!!! Are you all impressed I went canoeing though? Heck yeah I'm not always a "house cat" like Jake and his dad say!!

Destination: Sedona, AZ

Sadly, Dylan, Ashley and Parker couldn't make it this year, we missed them dearly! Maybe next year huh guys?!

Looks like an exciting long drive right? Jake has to find ways to occupy himself, one of those ways is to pester the person next to him, which of course was me! As you can see he is doing this with great success, GROSS!

The long drive had the opposite effect on Markham and Katie! How precious is that candid!

Here we finally arrive at our destination.....Sedona, Arizona, land of the red rocks, which were awesome!!

This is Sedona Springs Resort which was our home for 10 days, it was a great cozy place! Good pick Frumpy!!!

Seesters!!!
Could you guess we were tourists!? Maybe it's the big family wagon, the overhead Thule, maybe even the bikes, or was it the Idaho license plate that gave us away?

Montezuma's castle

Home of the ancient Sinagua indians, pretty intense huh? Can you imagine the hike just to get to bed.....I'd rather sleep under the stars....then again there are scorpians and nasty creatures....hmmmm

After a little bit of "trouble" in the visitor center Katie was all smiles on the trail after some fruit snacks, well she calls them "nacks".

Me and Frumpy just enjoying the view and resting from the serious heat!
I mean check out how high up that thing is! Are you kidding me....how'd you like to climb up that multiple times in a day.....and with babies and toddlers........hmmm I guess I know why I wasn't born then!

Caution: Kids at play

We did spend some time inside keepin cool, Katie took full advantage of this time!! How cute, they played for like 45 minutes!!

RED ROCK SLIDE!!!
There was this crazy fun natural slide created out of the rock with a pretty quick current to keep you going! Jake and Markham couldn't get enough of it, they went like 6 times! We collided a couple of times, no big deal! As you can see we had a blast!!

On our way home we stopped at the good old Grand Canyon!! It was still there!! That is a big freaking hole behind us!!
This is so adorable I had to post it for all to see! This is on the way home, we had to stop to eat at good old Dairy Queen and Katie just loved being out of the car!!

What else?

We visited a cool old mining town, Jerome, which is in the background of our pic. In it's day it was the place to be, it even had a red-light district.....oops. Now the town is down to only about 400 residents from a high of 15,000 when the mine was operational. It sounds kind of boring, but it really was interesting learning about the town's past.

We had to get a picture of this old time post office for Jake's dad, I think he would appreciate it!

We decided it would be fun to go on a bike ride in 100 degree weather around the amazing rocks in Sedona, which happened to be uphill. What were we thinking do you ask? Well in all fairness we didn't know it was going to be all uphill!! Me and April agree it was horrific, we turned back and the boys kept going........I swear we are not wimps....it was hard!!

We also had the privelage of celebrating Jake's birthday while we were in red rock country. Happy 25th babe!! We had a funfilled day at Montezuma's castle and then we ate at Tlaqupaque in Sedona, good good food!!

Could he be anymore cheesy?!
I swear this is not a normal activity for Jake on his birthday.......actually I'm not really sure what he is doing, I might not want to know! what a dork!

Bikes make their appearance!!!

Well, to Jakes delight we have been successful in attaining some bikes for ourselves. That sweet Jake donated plasma so he could not only get him a bike, but also one for his sweet wife!! What a cutie!

We have been on a couple of casual rides since we got them, but the other day to my horror we went on a VERY hard ride!! I'm talking a mean steep hill we had to ride up. While we were in my personal hell of busting our butts to get up this hill, Jake says, "oh I guess I forgot what a climb it is." I said are you freaking kidding me, this sucks!! Jake's sister came with us and needless to say she might be hesitant to go with us again!! So here are some picks of our new bikes after our hellish ride. Although coming down was sa-weet!!

Do I look like a munchkin compared to these two or what! Whoa the
plight of the vertically challenged........

Don't judge me for my sweet hair do......I just got the crap beat out of me!!

Look how proud my sweet babe is!! I am glad he finally got his bike. That is all I have been hearing about since we got home from Michigan is his "need" for a bike. So he's pretty satisfied right now!!

Mother's Day....I know....I am behind!!

This is Jake and his sweet mama! We were sad we could not see both our mothers on Mother's day, but we were lucky enough to see one of them!! It was a fun filled day of food and treats, like always!! It was fun having all the Wittwer family together and of course I loved seeing those little babies!!

hmmmmm.....about to cry....
This is Arianna, she is kind of giving a little dazed face, the flash probably made her eyes go crazy! She is the newest addition to Jake's sister's fam, the Frisons. She is so chubby and adorable!! Unfortunately this is the only time it is cute to be chubby!!

Okay so this is Lily, I only had a picture of her when she was very little on the blog, so I thought you all could see how much she has grown!! She's interested in food, not really me at that moment! What a cutie!!
