Destination: Arizona!

Linc and I we were lucky enough to spend some time in Sedona and St. George with April and her kiddos and the parents. Yup....that's right poor Monte was the only man there!! The poor hubby's had to stay home and make the bacon. There were definitely some hard nights, where I wondered why I went on the trip......but they were few and I had a lot of fun during the days!! We spent a lot of time at the pool, went shopping at all the little shops and of course relaxed!!

I decided at the end of the week to try taking Linc in the pool. I was fully prepared for him to hate it and cry and fuss....but to my sweet surprise he loved it!! Woo Hoo!!!

Okay okay he did pull this little face....but only after I blew in his little face and dunked him. He has to get used to the water fast.....I love the pool so he has to too!!!

SO FUN!!

Awwwww.........what a heartthrob!!!

So these are pics of Jacks, he was so hilarious because he had no fear of the water. I mean that's normal with kids but even after he feel in the water repeatedly he still loved it!! He was actually doing it on purpose and April was just there to pull him out!!

Check it out!!! He is coming out from being completely submerged and he's laughing!! Whoa

Aunt Jan, Cousin Brooke and little Carsen came to St. George for the day and it was awesome!!! Kaity and Carsen just loved playing together!!

This is Linc napping before his adventure in the pool......I mean he's practically doing the splits!!

No one is really looking at the camera but April, but I had to post it because of the face Kaity is pulling!! What a spaz right!! Oh my gosh her mouth is so big!! HILARIOUS

What a good little cousin Kaity is....being so sweet with Linc. She was my big helper with everything Lincoln. Job description: Binkie, wipe, diaper, blanket, clothes finder. What a good little runner!!

Hehe.......everything is going according to plans......whooooowaaaahaaa

Here we are enjoying the little shops in "uptown" Sedona!!! There was like this crazy rain storm while we were shopping....of course!!

April with here little man Jacks......he loves the water too, we are just a fish family I guess!

We had a blast and it was nice to get out and have some fun....I was starting to feel a little cooped up doing the same thing everyday! So thank you Mom and Frump, we enjoyed our vacation with you guys!!! Thanks for putting up with all the chaos!! Love you!

Unfortunately, our little Ash couldn't make it...she had to work, which is a good excuse I guess!! But we missed you girlie!

THE MANY FACES OF LINCOLN WITTWER

Have any of you ever seen that t-shirt: The many faces of Chuck Norris? Well u may have seen my hubs wearing it.....hilarious!! Except Chuck Norris has the same expression for every emotion.....he's way to bad !*@ to show any emotion! Well Linc seems to have a little bit more dimension....so here u go!!

ohhhh..........ANGER/SADNESS

In other news....

Gabe, my little nephew had his baby blessing a week ago......don't be surprised.....he is no small fry!!

Sweet Lily giving the man of the hour some loves

Gabe's fam......the Frisons. This is the best pic I could get: Gabe's outfit was unsnapping (because of his size?....no..), Arianna was crying with a snotty nose, mom and dad were laughing.....they felt a little defeated at getting a good fam pic....Jaylen is really the only one paying attention!! Turned more into a candid!

The three boy cousins....when they get older, I am afraid they will be little trouble makers together......and get dirty...stress Oh by the way Aden is 9 months and Gabe is 4 1/2 months.....Gabe is bigger than Aden!!!!....and then there's little ity bity Linc

So we blessed Linc a month ago and I am so awesome and on top of things that I forgot to get any pics!!! Where is my head lately!! Anyway we snapped a couple pics of Linc.....wearing the same outfit trying to re-create the moment!! I know, ghetto.

Island Park!!!

So I am a huge slacker with the pics.....these are the only pics I have to document this years Island Park Trip!!! BOO!! And we actually had the opportunity to stay for a whole week, even though it doesn't look like it......

While the boys were fishing......ewwww....us girls and the kiddos went on a "nature walk"......yeah we didn't see any animals, but that is good.....I would have wet myself!! Grandma Roz is taking the pic...she was there though!!

Some down time with the Linc.....they both look exhausted, right?

It was so funny, there are always "squills," like the kids would say, at the cabin hanging out for food. Of course we leave peanuts around so they can store up as much as they would like......aren't we just so friendly? Well, Jaylen loved actually feeding them by hand....these little things were fearless, they came right up to him!! So CUTE!!! Oh yeah....did I mention squirrels carry rabies.........

Here's our little friend now, full belly and happy just basking in the sun!

Anyway this year was really pretty chill.....we had Linc and Jake's sis had a 4 month old, Gabe, so we were a little bit more cabin bound this year. But you know what it was still a blast......becuase we did get to go four-wheeling a ton, Jake's parents were so swwweeet to watch little Linc for us so we could go be crazy, on their machines no less!!! Thanks so much Rozzie and Jeff!!!

We were lucky enough to make a quick trip home to see my parents a couple weeks ago....always a good time!!! We got to ride the jet skis and just have fun while grandma watched little Lincoln for a little bit. Of course I didn't get pics of the awesome fun we had....I have been so terrible with pics lately!! But be glad u didn't see them......swimming suits....yikes! But wow, it was so fun!!! After being cooped up with the babes for so long.....it was amazing to get out and have some serious fun!!

Here's our attempt at getting a good fam pic.......all I see is Jake.....hmmm....maybe we'll back up a little next time!!!

Hey grampa and grandma!!! Good pic!!

I think focusing without crossing his eyes might still be a skill that will need further practice!!!

That's better!!

Lincoln is now 2 months old yesterday!!! Wow!!

He still loves to be bundled up all cuddly!!! And he LOVES his swing......wow and to think I wasn't going to get one....cuz I am so cheep!! But I am so glad I gave in....it just rocks him to sleep every time without fail!!

6 weeks old ....

So we have just been so happy to have a now healthy and sweet little boy....it is great taking care of this little squirt even though he does test our patience sometimes!!!
He's like Jake in the way that Jake makes me so happy but also makes me so frustrated sometimes!! I couldn't live without my amazing boys!!!

And here they are just hanging out.....hmmmm...they are both giving me the same look, already so much alike!!

In case you were wondering, that is Jake's ginormous hand!!!

So I have given up on putting the cover on the changing pad....as you can see here....it is still MIA by choice. He pees, poops or spits up all over the thing like every freaking day, that is a lot of washing.....we might bring it back soon we will see!!

Just a couple cute candids....

Already pulling faces for the camera...

Lincoln's home at last!!

So we got to come home last Wednesday, Jake's birthday was Thursday, to it was the perfect present for his special day!!! We are so glad to be home and actually hold Lincoln, and do the things parents do!!! It felt kind of unreal that we had a little one, it felt like Primary Children's had a baby....not us!!

Our new little fam!!

Look!!! No tubes and IV's!!!! Doesn't he just look so relaxed and chill, who wouldn't be after being poked and bugged in a hospital for 12 days!! He's just the sweetest little guy, he really has such a good temperament. And he sleeps pretty well too, I was terrified that I would just want to pull my hair out because of lack of sleep, but not so far....hopefully this pattern continues!!

Awwwww....are you kidding me, how sweet!! Dad and Link taking a little snooze!!

This in one of his first baths at home....he actually liked it!! That is until we started washing him!!

Aren't newborns funny....their little claw hands look so hilarious!!

LINCOLN DECIDES........

Well as most of you know....Lincoln decided he wanted to come join our fam June 4th. Yes, he was a little early, but still weighed 7 lbs 4 oz!!!! I went to my doctor's appointment on the 3rd at 9:30am, the first one the doctor would check if I was starting to dilate. I was emotionally prepared for the doc to tell me nothing was happening and that I would probably be late. I have been stressing about having an enormous baby.....I mean come on, look at his dad...can you blame me!!! So I was SHOCKED when the doc said I was dilated to a 4 1/2 and in the early stages of labor!! I had felt like crap that day and I guess I was contracting, but very irregular so I was sent home and told to come in if it got any worse. So we went in that night around midnight and I was still at a 4 1/2!!! I was like come on......I have pretty much had an emotional high knowing that my sweet baby could be here in a matter of days, not 2 weeks. I was still, however, VERY scared and just unprepared for this news!! Anyway, long story short: Got my epidural around 5:00 am, had my water broken at 7:30 am, was in labor at the hospital for a total of about 12 hours, I pushed for about 15 minutes and he was here at 11:00 am on the 4th!!! Pretty crazy!!

We are so excited that he is here and I guess he really does do what he wants already!!! However, he has had a little trouble since he came to us. He wasn't breathing like he should and stopped taking his own breaths for a couple of seconds and had to be taken to the NICU about 30 minutes after birth. Luckily, we did get to hold him for a couple of minutes before he was taken to the NICU. X-rays and tests at Logan showed that he has pneumonia and his lungs were, of course, having a hard time getting the required breaths and keeping pressure. While he was in Logan, he wasn't improving so after 3 days he had to be life flighted to Primary Children's hospital. What an emotional 3 days we had had and now it was getting worse. I thought we would never get home with our sweet little guy!! But what a blessing that he came to Primary's, he is doing better but still on the ventilator and feeding tubes. They are so great here and have better machines for his little lungs and he has been steadily improving over the last 5 days here.

NEXT STEP: removal of the ventilator!!! Before he starts breathing completely on his own he has to be put on a machine called a c-pap. It is the next step down from the ventilator and necessary for him to transition to breathing on his own. The docs tried to do this yesterday, but that little stinker fought the c-pap and wasn't getting the breaths and pressure he needed. That was a little discouraging....but they will try again tomorrow........that's where we are so far. But here are some pics of the newest member of the fam!!

Proud papa, right after delivery

I really debated whether or not to put this close-up of me on the blog...yikes, but I had to, it being the first mommy pic with sweet Lincoln.

Very first fam pic!!! How funny......they look so weird when they are first here.... like little white gnomes!!! I know a weird comparison, but its true!!

Just snoozing

I love this one....with the arm....freaking cute!!

This is the latest pic of Lincoln just taken yesterday......he has changed so much just in the last 8 days!! I cant imagine how much he will change just in the next month!!

We are so blessed to have such great family and friends who have really helped us out so much and have been so amazing with all the support. We really get so much strength from all of you, you have no idea. So many friends and family have shown so much love for us and Lincoln.....he's got a lot of people rooting for him!! Thank you!! thank you!!! We appreciate your thoughts and prayers so much.
