Valentines Retreat!!

So we were lucky enough to getaway from the daily grind and have a romantic weekend-wink wink!! We went to Bear Lake!! It was freezing, but so beautiful. We stayed in a condo that was on the beach (snow covered beach, some of you might not find that appealing....mom) and we loved it!! Here is a snap from the beach up at the condos


This place is amazing in the summer too because it is right on the beach close to your boats or wave runners. Since it was winter that didn't quite have the same appeal, but we went to the hot tub a lot and were kind of lazy......wow it was great!!


Here's a shot at the beach, I told Jake to do something funny and this is what he came up with.....the king of comedy pretends to be falling.........good job anyway babe!!




We also went on a winter snowy walk on the beach. Jake thought I was kind of silly wanting to go for such a frigid walk, but to his surprise we had fun and we got a workout, deep snow is hard to trudge through!!


That sweet little animated hubby of mine!! I am so glad he is not boring!!

Um....what about Christmas??

So I am embarrassed to say that I took a whole bunch of pics of awesome Christmas activities we did with the Wittwers and I never posted them........so luckily, big sigh, you all get to see them now, 2 months later!!! Oh yeah

Sweet little Jaylen really didn't help much making the gingerbread houses, but he so wanted to be in the pic, I think he's a good addition!


So this is Amber, Chelsea, or Kaylee's house I can't remember which is which. Well yeah it looks amazing, everybody had kits to help a little too. Jake didn't think we needed one, even though I wanted one and assumed he got one. He thought using just graham crackers and frosting would be a better idea. hmmmmm......I bet you can imagine how good our house looked. Well if you are wondering, it is pictured with us and Jaylen in the 1st pic. Work of Art


Wow......why couldn't ours have looked like that house? Oh wait I know why, we didn't have a kit.....Jake got kind of frustrated making our shack and so he vowed to get a kit next year....victory!

But in the end, kit or not, we ended up with pretty horrific collopses.......



SPOONS!! So I love love spoons and we all got to play at the Wittwer Christmas party. I couldn't have been happier!!


The girls had fun having all the attention on them too!! And how could we not give them what they want!!


We also took a trip to temple square to see all the lights and feel that awesome Christmas spirit!!!! It was awesome and we had so much fun!!

Annual Sun Valley Extravaganza!!

So we spent last weekend enjoying some fam time in Sun Valley, Idaho, it was a blast as usual!! Every year we meet Monte's kids here in this great town and have a little fam reunion. Thanks for the fun weekend frumpy!!

You ask what we did.......what else, guitar hero!!! These two look pretty intense, huh!



We also had our little gift exchange which always consists of some great presents and of course the kids get their presents. Cindy's boys, Lucas and Jake are enjoying some great ones!


Kids must be thinking we are crazy, having them unwrap these cool toys....Parker looks perplexed!


Ashley of course worked on one of the puzzles she brought. I have to admit I wasn't in the mood to puzzle, so she had no help from me, but she does okay!! Nice cheesy pose Ash, we love those!


Katie and Parker were showing us their "moves" here. They don't look like much, but you should be sad you missed it!! Adorable! Of course they always have fun together and Parker enjoyed playing with his other cousins!


Jake spent a whole day and a half reading.....for fun.....I wondered if he was okay...this NEVER happens!! That good old Monte got each couple this book, Train to Potevka, I guess it is really exciting, its about a man from Bear River, Utah, yeah right up our alley!! Anyway he goes to Russia....he was a spy and I guess it's about his time there and all his crazy happenings. As you can see Jake liked it, my turn!!


Monte and Dylan chose to watch football for some of the time......ewwww....so us girls had to find something else to occupy our time. Ash and I made my mom's famous Christmas sugar cookies....I would say they are to die for!!! They take a long time.....about three hours to make with two people........if you know us, we wouldn't do that unless they were wonderful.

1st birthday!!

Jake's sister, Amber threw a shin-dig for their little Arriana's 1st birthday. Sadly, Jake had to go without me.........but luckily I found these pics on our camera! What a good little hubby, getting pictures and all!

Twilight Frenzy...

I know I am behind the curve, but we went to see Twilight!!! We went the 2nd night it was out and boy was it crazy!! There are some crazy obsessed people!! But that's okay, it looked like all those obsessed people were having tons of fun!!

Oh and I have never witnessed such a dramatic reaction to a movie, I mean not even the Harry Potter movies!! I mean people either HATED it or loved it!! To all you people who detested it, go easy!! I mean come on it would be naive of me (or anyone else) to think it would be as great as the book, right?....and it was low budget! So I prepared myself before the crazy hype came, which helped me to just be chill and enjoy the movie for what it was! There were some cheesy parts that's for sure, but wasn't the book as well........that's what we like....that gushy gaging stuff! Edward was hot, Bella was way adorable and was the non-girly, shy, awkward Bella we all love from the book.

Well I guess I have finished sticking up for the movie.........here is a pre-movie picture at the Tibbitts', we were pretty happy to be all going to a movie together and Ash and April even got to leave Parker and Katie with the hubbies. YAY!!

A haunted night.....

So it's safe to say that the Carroll Spooktacular was amazing!! April put so much work into getting everything ready and planned...nice work seester, we had a blast!!


We enjoyed an awesome apple eating contest!! See for yourselves......


I have to say that I was a little skeptical about participating in this slobery contest....I have a problem with the contents of other people's mouths....I am slighlty a germ-a-phobe, even though kissing my sweet husband doesn't bother me, so I am weird. Anyway, April and Mard spent their minute in a half devouring their apple and then Mom and Monte.......I couldn't allow them to show us up now could I? Heck no!! So we put up a good fight! Jake was a ferocious apple muncher!


I could not stop laughing at these two....they were so crazy, Monte was in it to win it!!

Even though Jake and I fought to eat the most apple, Ashley and Dylan beat us by a tiny portion of apple skin.......dang it.....those ruiners!! Just kidding, they were awesome and won a gourmet candy apple for their great effort, it looked amazing!!

Those scurvy, rather clean looking pirates......that's a first. And of course they received the award for best couple costume.....I mean look at them, pretty sa-weet!!


Dylan was some kind of fierce, tough boxer and Ashley was this sweet and innocent doll, talk about opposites......they've got Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde going on


And of course Ron Burgundy couldn't live without his little "Red!" We were being pummeled with all kinds of lines from Anchorman all night, it was a crack up, he did a good job of looking and sounding like him......well that's not too hard since he has the whole movie pretty much memorized....WOW....that might be a little weird?


Unfortunately, in all the chaos I was unable to get Burger king (Markham) and Snow White pictured together (April). This was also one of the rare times Markham could wear his mask because Katie absolutely freaked when he had it on, I mean she was terrified, and if he talked while he had it on, forget it she was beside herself in terror!

Mard's costume was a complete surprise....only April knew what he was going to be, it was pretty freaking hilarious when he revealed himself!!

Our dear sweet Pony came late, but she was sure a Tigress when she arrived, very fiesty!! What a hottie.....Grrrrrr......

Little Parker was Katies strong, handsome groom......although I think he liked Grandpa's pirate costume better, he wouldn't let that hat out of his sight.......great idea for next year!

The King, little princess bride, and Ron Burgundy


Doesn't he just look so much like Ron Burgundy? If you haven't seen Anchorman, you may be a little lost......but he is pretty much in love with that show and Will Ferrell!!

Um.......isn't Ashley suppose to be a sweet and innocent little doll? I'm confused....this looks like adult intertainment.....hmmmmm what a seductriss!

Whenever Katie and Parks are together they love playing in the yard on this sweet little outdoor playset.....they go crazy....up and down, up and down the slide!









PuMpKiN CaRvInG!!!

Dylan and Jake kept saying how me and Ashley were slave drivers. I mean with all the pumpkin carving, pics and all, why wouldn't they-what babies right? But secretly I think they had some fun....and without the X-box even....is that really possible? They think they are such good actors.....but we see through them!

Parkies sure had fun, didn't do any carving, which could have been a disaster, but he did have fun using the glue stick all over his pumpkin and everybody else's!!!!


Me and that silly Ash-she was amazing because she carved 2 pumpkins in the time it took everybody else to carve 1!!! She's a fast worker.....nice pumpkins guys!!

it was a bit of a mess, but very fun!
